Create App Instances

There are several options available for the creation of specific instances for an app.

Instance Name
Type the name that will be shown at the top of the App Overview.

Application Version Select the application version for which the instance is being created. The default setting is the most recent one.

Hosting
Choose from Jetveo Cloud and On-premises:
Jetveo Cloud
Most applications are hosted in the Jetveo Cloud and run on the Jetveo infrastructure. This includes maintenance, automated updates, automated deployment, and automated backups.
On-premises
On-premises applications are provided as downloadable binaries. The client is responsible for maintenance. This requires manual updates, manual deployment, and manual backups. The app runs on the client's hardware (Unix and Windows binaries are available). Note that on-premises instances require a special agreement. Please contact us at business@jetveo.io

Application Type
Choose from Development or Production:
Development
Development instances are used to develop and test applications and their features. They allow only one test user account, with limited management options.
Production
Production instances are for regular use by the public. Each user has their own user account. This type of instance is for regular use by end-users, full user account management, live error notifications, and database backups.

Authentication
Production instances can be accessed with a Jetveo account, or a single sign-on account (e.g., Google, Microsoft Azure AD, OpenID).
Development instances can only be accessed with a Jetveo login.
