Search Indexes

Jetveo App Builder supports full-text search within indexed entities to quickly locate data. For example, the titles of Support Tickets could be searched to provide direct links to the ticket detail pages.

The Search Bar is in the topbar. It is available when at least one index is shown. Click on the Search bar to show the ? at the right. Click ? for a list of available keystrokes and any Search Prefixes (see below) in order to narrow the search.

On the Search Indexes banner, click (+) to create a new entry. Or type Ctrl + Shift + C to access the general create dialogue.

General
Indexed Entity – Select the entity that will be used as the index for the search item.
Detail Page – The Detail page that will be the target for the result of the search.
Description – The general category for the search. It shows in the list of indexes and in the contextual help on the Search Bar, if you enter the Search prefix.

Data
Indexed Attributes – Defines the specific attributes that will be indexed as part of the search.
Search Prefix – A prefix can be used to narrow the search results, which is particularly useful when multiple entities are included. For example, enter "T" to limit the search to only the Indexed Entity. The User Interface will show "T:" on the Search Help Panel to explain that the prefix should come before the search term.

Display (appears upon selection of the Indexed Entity)
Title Expression – Title for the search result.
Description Expression – Description of the search result. It is an expression that can return markdown syntax.
